Petrick’s No-Hitter Helps No. 22 Warriors Earn Series Split
SEWARD, Neb. – Braving less-than-ideal conditions, No. 22 Midland University traveled to Seward on Wednesday for a Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) doubleheader against Concordia University. Despite outhitting the Bulldogs in the opener, the Warriors fell 2-0. In the second game, Midland secured a series split behind a no-hitter from Campbell Petrick, earning a 1-0 victory. Midland had several scoring opportunities, with its best chance coming in the fourth inning. Kamdyn Barrientos hit a one-out single and advanced to second on a wild pitch. With two outs, Matti Reiling singled to the left side, putting runners on the corners, but Concordia escaped the jam with a pop-up to second base.
