Warriors Dominate in Conference Road Win at Bethel

NORTH NEWTON, Kan. – Midland University delivered a commanding performance on Monday night, shutting out Bethel College 61-0 in a Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) contest on the road.

The Warriors overwhelmed the Threshers in all phases of the game, compiling 298 total yards while holding their opponents to just 41. Midland's defense stifled Bethel throughout the night, allowing only 33 passing yards and forcing two interceptions.

Angel Ioane Kaio led the offense with a prolific performance, completing 16-of-26 passes for 252 yards and five touchdowns while also adding a rushing score. Olivia Dominguez-Millsop added a perfect 3-of-3 passing for 22 yards and a touchdown.

Dominguez-Millsop was also a key target, catching four passes for 51 yards and two scores. Allaya Livingston hauled in three receptions for 57 yards and a touchdown, while Morgan Kalisek added two grabs for 53 yards and another score. Emily Ferron and Nadiya Simpson each caught touchdown passes as well.

Kaio got the Warriors on the board early with a 10-yard touchdown pass to Dominguez-Millsop and followed with a 2-yard rushing score to make it 14-0 midway through the first quarter. Two plays later, she connected with Livingston from 12 yards out to push the lead to 20-0. Midland added three more scores in the second quarter to take a 41-0 lead into halftime.

Jocelyn Lopez added a pair of scores in the second half—one on a 2-yard rush and the other on a 30-yard punt return—to continue the rout. Simpson capped the scoring with a 9-yard touchdown catch from Dominguez-Millsop in the final minute.

Defensively, NaTaija Blaylock anchored the unit with six tackles and three sacks. Xaria Tanner had three tackles and an interception, while Simpson contributed four pass breakups and two tackles. Livingston also recorded an interception for the Warriors.

Midland (8-6, 4-4 KCAC) will wrap up its regular season on Thursday with a road game at Kansas Wesleyan (11-3, 8-1 KCAC). The Warriors and Coyotes met earlier in the season in a nonconference contest won by KWU, 33-14. The rematch is slated for a 6:00 p.m. start in Salina, Kansas.
