Warriors Garner Peak Times at Seminole Valley Stampede

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Midland University continued its cross country season with a trip to Cedar Rapids, Iowa for the Seminole Valley Stampede on Saturday. The Warrior had a trio of runners competing in the field of 63 runners in the 5K race.

Taking top honors for the Midland squad was Myia Johnson. She had a time of 19:51.9, her fastest time of the season, to finish 6th.

Teammates Nevaeh Sarabia and Magdalena De La O placed 20th and 37th, respectively. Sarabia had a time of 20:47.1 while De La O ran a 22:10.4. Both were top times of the season with De La O shaving over three minutes off her previous best 5K time.

Up next for the Warriors will be the 2023 Great Plains Athletic Conference Championship. The conference meet will be hosted by Briar Cliff at the Adams Nature Preserve in North Sioux City, South Dakota on Saturday, November 4.
