Avila Selected as GPAC Wrestler of the Week

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), along with presenting sponsor Hauff Mid-America Sports, has announced its wrestlers of the week for contests played November 17-23, 2025. Midland University's Maci Avila earned the GPAC Women's Wrestler of the Week honor.

Avila, a junior from Henderson, Nevada, was rolling through the Missouri Valley Open until a tough loss to Skye Realin of Iowa in the quarterfinals. She would eventually drop the seventh-place bout by medical forfeit, placing eighth in the ultra-competitive Missouri Valley Open over the weekend.
