Samuelson Named GPAC Defender of the Week

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) has announced this week's volleyball players of the week for contests played from October 30-November 5, 2023. Midland University's Lauryn Samuelson was named the GPAC Defender of the Week while Aleah Zieske of the University of Jamestown and Bree Burtwistle of Concordia University garnered the GPAC Attacker and GPAC Setter awards.

Samuelson, a senior from Oxford, Nebraska, averaged 2.5 blocks per set this week for the Warriors. In Midland's GPAC Quarterfinal match against the College of Saint Mary, she had a career-high 13 blocks to go along with a pair of digs.
