NAIA Tabs Ringler as National Defender of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced this week's national volleyball players of the week. Midland University's Abbey Ringler was selected as the NAIA National Defender of the Week following her play from October 23-29. Ady Dwight of Dakota Wesleyan and Reece Shirley of IU East were named the Attacker and Setter of the Week.

Ringer, a junior from Seward, Nebraska, had a big week for Midland with 20 total blocks. She had 14 blocks in the Warriors' upset of No. 8 College of Saint Mary on the road to go along with her 14 kills on the attack. She had an average of 2.86 blocks per set, helping the team to a 2-0 week.
