Ringler Named GPAC Defender of the Week

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) has announced this week's volleyball players of the week for contests played October 23-29, 2023. Abbey Ringler of Midland University was named the GPAC Defender Player of the Week. She is joined by Addy Dwight and Kayleigh Hybertson of Dakota Wesleyan. Dwight was named the Attack of the Week while Hybertson earned Setter of the Week honors.

Ringler, a junior from Seward, Nebraska, had an outstanding match on Wednesday with 14 total blocks as Midland upset No. 8-ranked College of Saint Mary. She followed that effort with 6 more stuffs in the Warriors sweep of Doane on Saturday. For the week, she had 20 total blocks and added 26 kills while hitting .400 on the attack.
