Heesch Earns Conference and National Weekly Awards

FREMONT, Neb. – Midland University's Maggie Heesch earned weekly indoor track and field honors from the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) on Wednesday.

Heesch, a junior from Watertown, South Dakota, took first place at the Mount Marty Last Chance Meet with a toss of 17.03m in the weight throw. She also took second place in the shot put with a distance of 13.62m.  Both marks were NAIA "A" standards.
