"Overall I think we swam pretty well. It has been a pretty tough few weeks of training so we weren't expecting to go best times, but we wanted to be competitive," commented head coach Matt Gilbert. "I think we're in a great spot to swim fast later this semester and more importantly at conference. It has been a blast coaching this team so far, they are putting in great work right now."

"Lily had a standout meet," added Coach Gilbert. "She won both her individual events and raced very hard. It was good to see the competitiveness. Mya also had a great breakout meet as a freshman. Next weekend is the meet the team is focused on the most. We have a good week of training and are looking forward to next week."

Midland will travel up to Sioux City, Iowa for a meet with Morningside and the College of Saint Mary. The three conference rivals will face off inside the Hindman-Hobbs Center at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 21.
