Strong Second Half Secures Win for Saints over Warriors

ADRIAN, Mich. – Siena Heights University used solid defense in the second half to defeat Midland University on Tuesday afternoon, 14-4, at O'Laughlin Stadium. Midland trailed 3-1 at the end of the first quarter and 7-4 at halftime. However, the Saints shut out the Warriors in the second half, en route to the 14-4 final.

Siena Heights was led in scoring by Jenna Allie, who scored six goals. Emily Pringle added three for the Saints while Midland had four players score one goal each; Kadence Rose, Madilynn Edwards, Chloe Harrison, and Hallie Gehring.

The Saints outshot Midland 33-14, on the day. Lucy Stedam recorded six saves and picked up the win in goal, for Siena Heights. Christina Myers was in net for Midland, recording 11 saves.

Midland (1-4) will remain in the state of Michigan for its next game on Wednesday. The Warriors will travel to Ann Arbor to play Concordia (2-3). Game time between the Warriors and Cardinals is set for 12:00 p.m. (CT) at Cardinal Stadium.
