Warriors Wrap Up Fall Golf Season at Battle of the Dance

WINDSOR, Colo. – Midland University returned to the course for the final time this fall as it competed in the Battle of the Dance Tournament on Monday and Tuesday. Playing at Raindance National Resort and Golf in Windsor, Colorado, the Warriors finished seventh out of 10 teams with a total score of 85-over-par 949 after three rounds.

Janlo Zaayman rebounded from a tough opening day to lead the Warriors. After shooting an 8-over-par 80 and a 10-over-par 82 on Monday, he caught fire on Tuesday with a 3-under-par 69 — tying for the second-lowest round of the tournament. Across three rounds, Zaayman recorded 11 birdies and finished at 15-over-par 231, tying for 20th individually out of 60 golfers.

Tied with Zaayman in 20th place was teammate Trevin Cunningham, who was consistent throughout the event. Cunningham opened with a 5-over-par 77, followed by a 4-over-par 76 and a 6-over-par 78 to finish at 15-over-par 231.

Brady Davis was next for the Warriors, tying for 35th place with a 25-over-par 241. He carded rounds of 7-over-par 79 and 12-over-par 84 on Monday, then closed with a 6-over-par 78 on Tuesday, highlighted by an eagle.

Rounding out Midland's lineup were Jaylin Jakub and Cole Dryak. Jakub tied for 50th at 37-over-par 253, while Dryak tied for 52nd at 39-over-par 255.

On the women's side, two golfers competed individually for Midland. Isabel Brown placed 29th out of 32 golfers with a two-round score of 77-over-par 221, while Tessa Nicolson finished 32nd at 104-over-par 248.

The Warriors will now take a break for the winter before returning to the course for the spring season.
