Warriors Compete at Sand Creek Invitational
NEWTON, Kan. – Midland continued its season this week, traveling to Newton, Kansas, to compete in the Sand Creek Invitational on Monday and Tuesday. The Warriors had four golfers compete in the first round but dropped to three in the second, resulting in no team score for the event, which featured five other schools.
Individually, Callie Maguire led the way for Midland, carding a 99 (+27) in the opening round and a 102 (+30) in the second. She finished with a 201 (+57) to place 31st out of 36 golfers.
Isabel Brown was close behind, placing 32nd with a total score of 216 (+72), while Jocelyn Kumm finished 34th at 223 (+79).
Brooklyn Reynolds shot a 121 (+49) in round one before withdrawing from the competition and not competing in round two.
The Warriors will return to action April 14-15 when they travel to Crete, Nebraska, to compete in the Kaitlyn Erickson Doane Invite.
