Prai and Rincon Named Academic All-Americans
AUSTIN, Texas – The CSC NAIA Softball Academic All-America Teams were announced today by the College Sports Communicators. Two student-athletes from Midland University earn honors for their efforts on the court and in the classroom.
Emily Prai was named to the Academic All-America First Team while Aliyah Rincon earned Second Team honors.
"Emily and Aliyah have been outstanding leaders for our team, both on the field and in the classroom," commented head coach Beth Singleton. "They embody what it truly means to be a student-athlete. Both of them were key pieces to our team's success this year. This award recognizes that along with the work they are doing to prepare for their careers after softball."
This year, the Warriors went 41-15 and reached the NAIA World Series for the first time since 2011. They wrapped up their season as one of the final six teams vying for the championship banner.
