NAIA Softball Opening Round Preview
OKLAHOMA CITY – Midland University will be one of four teams competing for a berth in the NAIA Softball World Series next week in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the NAIA Opening Round. Ranked No. 25 in the final coaches' poll, the Warriors will be joined in their bracket by No. 2 Oklahoma City University, No. 20 Ottawa University, and Dickinson State University.
Play will begin on Monday, May 17 at Ann Lacy Stadium with 2-seed Midland taking on 3-seed Ottawa at 11:00 a.m. followed by top-seed Oklahoma City versus 4-seed Dickinson State at 1:00 p.m.
The teams will continue play in the double-elimination bracket on Tuesday with three games played and two teams eliminated prior to Wednesday's bracket championship game(s).
Games will be streamed by host-school Oklahoma City University at a rate of $4.99 per game (link). Live stats will also be available on the DakStats website (link).
Fan wishing to attend the games at Ann Lacy Stadium can purchase tickets at the stadium. Session tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students 18 and under.
