Pair of Warriors Earn All-GPAC Honors
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) announced its 2026 Men's Wrestling All-Conference Teams following last weekend's GPAC Championships. The conference released its first and second teams, consisting of 12 members each, along with six honorable mention selections. Midland University had two All-GPAC honorees in Zeph Sivels and Nate McDonald.
Sivels, a senior from Omaha, Nebraska, earned first-team honors after winning the 285-pound division at the GPAC Championships. The top seed in the bracket, he worked his way to the title with a major decision, followed by back-to-back tiebreaker wins. He is now 21-4 on the season and ranked No. 3 heading into the national championships.
McDonald, a junior from North Bend, Nebraska, was named to the All-GPAC Second Team. Competing at 184 pounds, he placed third at the conference championships. Ranked No. 16 in the NAIA, he won a pair of decisions before falling in a close semifinal match. He rebounded with two major decisions to claim third place and secure a spot at the 2026 NAIA National Championships.
