Pair of Warriors Earn All-GPAC Honors

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) has announced the 2025 GPAC Men's Wrestling All-Conference Teams. Burton Brandt and Zeph Sivels of Midland University were both named to the All-GPAC Second Team.

Brandt, a senior from Unadilla, Nebraska, placed third at the GPAC Championships at 197 pounds while Sivels, a senior from Omaha, Nebraska, took third place at 285. Both wrestlers will represent the Warriors at the NAIA National Championship next month in Park City, Kansas.

Doane University's Tyson Beauperthuy, at 184lbs, was been named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Wrestler of the Year while Dana Vote of Doane was been named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Wrestling Coach of the Year after guiding the Tigers to the GPAC Championship. Koen Mattern of Hastings College was named the GPAC Freshman of the Year.
