"Some positives I saw were we made some improvements in some of the areas that we struggled with the first two duals," commented head coach Doyle Trout. "I'm excited to see us make other adjustments throughout the year and see the guys learn and grow. Another positive I saw was our team dynamic. All the guys on the team were mat side supporting their teammates. It is really awesome to see and it benefits the guys out on the mat wrestling when they hear their teammates' support."
"We are definitely young this year so the focus right now is still continuing to focus on our foundation," added Coach Trout. "Good position is something we constantly preach as well as doing the little things right. Every day our focus is on those things and making the right choice. We will be a different team at the end of the year compared to where we started this year. We are ready to put in the work."
The Warriors return to action next weekend, Saturday and Sunday, November 17-18 at the Missouri Valley Open, in Marshall, Missouri.
