NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships Preview

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The 2026 NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships will take place from Thursday through Saturday in Gainesville, Florida. Midland University will have four individual athletes and a men's relay team competing on the track and in the field inside the Alachua County Sports & Events Center at Celebration Pointe.

On the women's side, Krista Hardy will compete in the high jump, while Sara Diew is set to take part in the weight throw.

Lucas Hjortkjaer and Koen Steenblok are the individual competitors on the men's side. Hjortkjaer will run in the 1000m while Steenblok will compete in the 800m. The duo is also part of the men's distance medley relay team along with Braden Taylor and Raheem Richards. Chris Medlock and Christian Olsen are alternates on the relay team.

The NAIA Indoor Championships begin on Thursday, March 5, and run through Saturday, March 7. Fans can follow along at home via a video feed [VIDEO LINK] and live results [RESULTS LINK]. A complete schedule of events for Midland athletes is listed below (all times listed are Central).

  • 5:45 PM – Men's Distance Medley Relay Prelims

Friday, March 6

  • 12:00 PM – Women's Weight Throw
  • 3:30 PM – Men's 800m Prelims
  • 4:00 PM – Men's 1000m Prelims

Saturday, March 7

  • 11:30 AM – Women's High Jump
  • 2:25 PM – Men's 800m Finals
  • 2:45 PM – Men's 1000m Finals
  • 5:00 PM – Men's Distance Medley Relay Finals
