Hjortkjaer Earns GPAC Athlete of the Week Honor

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), alongside presenting sponsor Hauff Mid-America Sports, announced Lucas Hjortkjaer of Midland University as the GPAC Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.

Hjortkjaer, a senior from Hvalsoe, Denmark, won the 1,000-meter race at the Cyclone Open with a time of 2:27.73, his best mark of the season. He also anchored the 4x400-meter relay team that placed fourth with a time of 3:25.34.
