Warriors Compete at Cyclone Open

AMES, Iowa — Midland University returned to action Friday at the Cyclone Open in Ames, Iowa. Hosted by Iowa State University, the meet was held at the Harry Hoak Track and featured teams from NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III, NAIA, and junior colleges.

In the shot put, Caleb Wagner placed 13th with a throw of 13.38 meters.

Jonathan Edberg secured a ninth-place finish in the high jump, clearing 1.81 meters.

Lucas Hjortkjaer led the field in the 1,000 meters, finishing first overall with a time of 2:27.73.

Adding to the Warriors' list of top-10 finishes, Jameson Painter placed ninth in the 200-meter race with a time of 22.54.

Rounding out the day for Midland, the 4x400-meter relay team of Noah Sherman, Chris Medlock, Ja'Myri Bernard, and Lucas Hjortkjaer finished fourth with a time of 3:25.34.

The Warriors return to action Jan. 30–31 at the Concordia Classic in Seward, Nebraska.
