NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships Preview

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The 2025 NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships will take place from Thursday through Saturday in Gainesville, Florida. Midland University will have eight individual athletes and a pair of relay teams competing on the track and in the field inside the Alachua County Sports & Events Center.

On the women's side, Krista Hardy will compete in the high jump, while Maggie Heesch is set to take part in both the shot put and weight throw. Kerrigan Myers will be a key contender in the pentathlon and will also compete in the high jump and 60-meter hurdles. Hannah Newton rounds out the women's squad in the high jump.

The Midland men's team will be led by Robert Atwater, who will compete in five events: the heptathlon, high jump, triple jump, long jump, and pole vault. Lucas Hjortkjaer will race in the 1,000 meters, Shandon Reitzell in the 600 meters, and Henri Stoeckermann in the 800 meters.

Midland will also be represented in the 4x400-meter relay and the 4x800-meter relay.
