OMAHA, Neb. – A day after picking up its first win of the season, Midland University was back in action Saturday against a tougher opponent in the University of Nebraska at Omaha. The Warriors battled but ultimately fell to the NCAA Division I Mavericks, 7-0.

Zhanxing Yu and Martin Cisneros pushed their counterparts, Kaden Taylor and Maddox Lundell, in No. 3 doubles action before falling 7-5.

In singles play, the Mavericks proved to be more than the Warriors could handle, winning all six matches in straight sets.

Midland (1-4) will look to get back in the win column next weekend when it hosts Bethany (0-0). The Warriors and Swedes will take to the courts inside the Fremont YMCA on Saturday, Feb. 14.
