Midland Honors Seniors in Home Finale
FREMONT, Neb. — Midland University returned to the Dillon Family Aquatic Center on Saturday for its final home competition of the season, celebrating Senior Day while hosting Iowa Western Community College in an exhibition. The Warriors honored eight seniors for their dedication to the swimming program — two from the women's team, Aria Feit and Quinty Rouschop, and six from the men's team: Wyatt Aumiller, Gael Conde, Ethyn Harris, Gonzalo Rojas, Caleb Rubitschung, and Jasper Mpofu.
Across 11 events on the men's side, Midland recorded 14 top-two finishes and four NAIA B standard times. Freshman Manuel Tomm led the way individually with two first-place finishes and two NAIA B standards, winning the 400-yard individual medley in 4:13.61 and the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:06.34.
Nacho Molina also claimed two first-place finishes, posting an NAIA B standard time and personal best in the 50-yard freestyle at 21.23 before winning the 200-yard freestyle in 1:46.58. Reece Gray earned the final NAIA B standard time of the meet, finishing first with a personal-best 1:53.52 in the 200-yard backstroke.
Martin Sener and Radek Ruzicka rounded out the men's individual winners. Sener won the 50-yard backstroke in 25.03, while Ruzicka captured the 50-yard breaststroke in 26.92. Senior Wyatt Aumiller was the top-performing senior on the day, finishing second to teammate Molina in both the 50-yard and 200-yard freestyle with times of 21.73 and 1:47.34, respectively.
The Warriors also competed in one relay event, as Sener, Ruzicka, Tich Makaya and Molina combined for a first-place finish in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 3:29.91.
On the women's side, Midland earned nine top-two finishes across nine events. Brisa Mills and Aria Feit each recorded three top-two finishes, while Quinty Rouschop earned two. Mills claimed first place in both the 50-yard freestyle (25.73) and the 50-yard backstroke, posting a personal-best 29.80 in the latter. She also added a second-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle at 2:07.65.
Senior Quinty Rouschop secured the final two individual first-place finishes for the women, winning the 50-yard breaststroke in 33.39 and the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:31.88. Feit collected three second-place finishes, recording a personal best of 29.93 in the 50-yard butterfly and earning silver in the 50-yard freestyle (26.16) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:40.77).
The meet concluded with the 400-yard medley relay, where Mills, Rouschop, Emma Rosenstrom and Feit finished in 4:27.39, edging Iowa Western's A team by 0.58 seconds.
Midland returns to action Feb. 5–7 at the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships in Hobart, Indiana.
