William Jewell Edges Warriors in Saturday Dual

FREMONT, Neb. – Midland University's men's swim team hosted William Jewell College on Saturday afternoon, falling in a close meet, 155-105. Following a tri-dual meet on Friday, the Warriors delivered a competitive performance but came up just short against a rested Cardinals squad.

The meet began with a victory for Midland in the 200-yard medley relay. Martin Sener, Zander Livingston, William Hansen, and Nacho Molina teamed up to clock a time of 1:35.75, edging out their opponents by less than a second.

In individual events, Radek Ruzicka placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke, finishing with a time of 59.63. Jeremi Aubin secured a first-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly, recording a time of 1:53.39. Hansen took top honors in the 50-yard freestyle, touching the wall in 21.48, narrowly outpacing teammates Nicolas Ruth (21.52) and Molina (21.69), who finished second and third, respectively.

Aubin added another win in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:53.65. Livingston followed with a runner-up finish in the 200-yard breaststroke at 2:08.19, while Tich Makaya took second in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 52.34.

The Warriors capped off the meet with a win in the 200-yard freestyle relay, as Brody Feist, Hansen, Molina, and Ruth combined for a strong finish.

Midland's next competition will be the Warrior Invitational, a three-day meet held December 5-7 at the Dillon Family Aquatic Center in Fremont. The meet will feature a championship format with preliminaries in the morning at 9:00 a.m. and championship races in the evening at 5:00 p.m.
