Warriors Sweep Tri-Dual Meet on Friday Night

FREMONT, Neb. – Midland University had a strong showing in its home pool on Friday night, winning both duals in a tri-meet against Nebraska Wesleyan University and the University of Minnesota-Morris at the Dillon Family Aquatic Center. The Warriors dominated with a 169-46 win over Minnesota-Morris and a 145-65 victory over Nebraska Wesleyan. NWU defeated Morris 149-55.

The Warriors found success across multiple events, highlighted by relay wins and top individual performances. Midland claimed first place in the 400-yard medley relay, finishing with a time of 3:29.82, and secured the 400-yard freestyle relay victory, clocking in at 3:13.76.

In diving, Brody Feist placed second in the 1-meter competition with a score of 140.10, adding valuable points for the Warriors.

Individual standouts for Midland included Jeremi Aubin, who captured the 400-yard individual medley title with a swift 4:10.54. Mohamed Saleh had a solid meet, placing second in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 17:25.30, and also earning runner-up in the 500-yard freestyle, clocking in at 4:50.64.

Nicolas Ruth also turned in strong performances, placing second in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:49.63 and winning the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 47.64. Nacho Molina showcased his speed in the 50-yard freestyle, taking first in 21.95, with Feist close behind in second at 22.02. Molina also placed second in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 47.99, just behind Ruth.

In the 100-yard butterfly, William Hansen took the top spot with a time of 52.71, while Martin Sener won the 100-yard backstroke, clocking in at 52.74. In the 100-yard breaststroke, Zander Livingston claimed first place with a time of 58.08, with teammate Kareem Saleh finishing second at 58.31.
