Trio of Warriors Earn Honorable Mention All-GPAC

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) has announced the 2023 Men's Soccer All-Conference team, as voted on by the coaches. Midland University had three players earn honorable mentions to the All-GPAC teams.

Riley Barratt, Eloy Demarquet, and Marco Moresco were named honorable mentions following their respective seasons.

"I'm incredibly proud of our three players winning recognition by the conference," commented head coach Josh Nakayama. "Marco has been huge for us in goal and had a few player-of-the-match performances this year. Riley has been as consistent as they come, playing in and starting 18 matches for us this season. Last, but not least, Eloy has impressed everyone this year. As a defender, he was tied for second in goals scored."

Midland went 4-9-5 in 2023, with a 2-4-5 mark in the GPAC. The Warriors finished seventh in the conference standings. In their quarterfinal match, they nearly upset second-seeded Northwestern who went on to win the tournament title. Midland graduates a handful of contributors from this year's team but returns a solid core for 2024.
