Three Warriors Earn All-Conference Honors
WICHITA, Kan. — The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) has announced the 2023 Men's Lacrosse All-Conference teams and individual award winners. These honors were voted on by the men's lacrosse head coaches. Nick Luedke, Tyler Renshaw, and Asher Thomas of Midland University were all named to the All-KCAC Second Team.
Luedke, a senior from Chicago, Illinois, earned the spot at midfield. This season he played in all 13 of the Warriors' games, starting a pair. He tallied 17 goals and 6 assists on the year for 23 points, which ranked third on the team.
Renshaw, a senior from Lincoln, Nebraska, was named as a defender for the second consecutive season. He started all 13 games for Midland and finished with 20 caused turnovers, 28 groundballs, and added a pair of goals with four assists.
Thomas, a freshman from Omaha, Nebraska, started 12 of the 13 games in his first season as a collegian. He was named to the team as a long-stick midfielder. He had a team-high 56 groundballs and 42 caused turnovers this year and added two goals and an assist.
Ottawa University took home the regular-season conference title with a 4-0 mark in KCAC play.
Bryce Peltier, a standout goalie for Columbia College, was named both the KCAC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year. Seth Matlock of Ottawa was named the Coach of the Year by his peers, and the Braves' Vincent DeMarco was named the Offensive Player of the Year.
