Warriors’ Season Concludes at GPAC Championship

DAKOTA DUNES, S.D. — Midland University wrapped up its season Monday and Tuesday at the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men's Golf Championships at Dakota Dunes Country Club. The Warriors finished ninth out of 11 teams with a three-round total of 93-over par, opening with a team score of 40 over before improving to 32 over and 21 over in the final two rounds.

Leading the way for Midland was Janlo Zaayman. After rounds of 10 over and 12 over, Zaayman surged in the final round with an even-par performance, highlighted by six birdies, to finish at 22 over for the tournament. He tied for 32nd place in a field of 62 golfers.

Luke Friedrichsen and Trevin Cunningham each tied for 36th at 24 over. Friedrichsen posted rounds of 11 over, 7 over, and 6 over, recording seven total birdies, including three in his final round. Cunningham carded rounds of 12 over, 4 over, and 8 over, highlighted by six total birdies, four of which came during his second round.

Brady Davis finished 42nd overall at 29 over, shooting rounds of 7 over, 15 over, and 7 over.

Midland also received contributions from Isaiah Weber, who competed in the first two rounds and posted scores of 13 over and 9 over before being substituted prior to the final round. Gunnar Ray entered the lineup on the final day and shot 12 over, recording birdies on holes 11 and 12.
