Midland Places 12th at NAIA Midwest Invite

SILVIS, Ill. – Midland University was back on the course early this week as it competed in the NAIA Midwest Invitational on Monday and Tuesday. Playing at TPC Deere Run, the Warriors finished 12th out of 21 teams with a two-round total of +59.

Janlo Zaayman paced the Warriors, carding a +3 (74) on Monday before posting a +4 (75) on Tuesday. Across the two rounds, he made four birdies and finished at +7 (149), tying for 13th place individually out of 103 golfers.

Brady Davis was next for Midland, tying for 27th with a two-round score of +11 (153). He opened with a +6 (77) in the first round and followed with a +5 (76) in the second.

Luke Fredrickson began the event with a +13 (84) before bouncing back with a +6 (77) in the second round. He finished at +19 (161), tying for 63rd.

Rounding out the lineup for the Warriors were Trevin Cunningham and Gunnar Ray. Cunningham tied for 73rd at +23 (165), while Ray tied for 84th at +27 (169).

Midland will return to action Oct. 6-7 when it hosts the Nebraska Intercollegiate at Fremont Golf Club.
