Warriors Roll to 11th Place at Warhawk Open
ADDISON, Ill. – Midland University returned to the lanes over the weekend, competing in the Warhawk Open in Addison, Illinois, on Saturday and Sunday. With the top eight teams advancing to bracket play, the Warriors finished 11th out of 25 teams with a total pinfall of 7,784.
Individually, Kaeden White led the Warriors, placing 20th out of 286 bowlers who recorded a game at the event. White opened with four games over 200, including a high of 248 in his fourth. He closed with a 193 to finish with a 212.2 average for the weekend.
Michael Saxton was Midland's next-best finisher, averaging 200 over his five games to place 42nd. He scored between 187 and 195 in his first four games before finishing strong with a 235. Caden Bahl followed closely behind in 44th with a 198.8 average and a high game of 218 in his third.
Cole Macaluso finished 55th after recording two games over 200 and averaging 190. Cephus Beatty bowled four games and placed 149th with a 181.3 average.
Rounding out Midland's varsity participants were Jack Pearson (199th), Nolan Pepper (244th), and Addison Johnson (258th). Pearson bowled three games for a 175.5 average, Pepper bowled two games for a 154.5 average, and Johnson bowled one game, scoring 178.
Midland will be back in action in Las Vegas from Dec. 18–21, competing in the Glenn Carlson Las Vegas Invitational on Thursday and Friday before taking part in the Collegiate Shoot-Out on Saturday and Sunday.
