Warriors Open Season with Solid Showing at Midwest Collegiate

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – Midland University opened its 2025-26 season over the weekend at the Midwest Collegiate Championships in Sterling Heights, Michigan. The Warriors were in position for bracket play after 12 Baker games, sitting seventh overall, but slipped to ninth place out of 51 teams after the final four games. They finished with a total pinfall of 8,175.

Individually, Nolan Pepper led the way with a 13th-place finish out of 400 bowlers. He bowled over 215 in each of his first four games before closing with a 182 to finish with an average of 216.4.

Cole Macaluso and Kaeden White each recorded four games over 195, finishing 29th and 30th, respectively. Macaluso averaged 207.4, while White posted a 207.2 average.

Caden Bahl finished 217th, bowling three games with an average of 200.33. Jack Pearson placed 240th with an average of 184.33 over his three games.

Bowling two games each, Cephus Beatty and Nate Hartje rounded out the Warrior lineup. Beatty averaged 199.5 to finish 296th, while Hartje averaged 195 to place 298th.

Midland will return to competition on Oct. 18 when it travels to Wichita, Kansas, for the Mid-States Championships.
