Warriors Place Third at Kohawk Invite

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Midland University competed over the weekend at the Kohawk Invitational, hosted by Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The team placed third out of 11 teams, finishing with a total score of 8,079 pins. Mount Marty claimed the top spot with 8,775 pins.

Brandon Ogden led Midland individually, finishing eighth out of 174 bowlers. He averaged 217.4 over five games, totaling 1,087 pins. Ogden opened the event with strong games of 224 and 266 and capped his fifth game with a score of 217, surpassing the 200 mark in three of his games.

Donald Wu also had a solid performance, earning 18th place with an average of 207.2. Wu totaled 1,036 pins across five games, including a personal event high of 245 in his third game.

Alijah Bertrand finished 28th, eclipsing the 200 mark in four games. He averaged 199.4 with an overall score of 997 pins. Jack Pearson followed, finishing 46th with an average of 189 and a total of 945 pins across five games.

Rounding out the lineup, Cole Macaluso placed 127th with a three-game total of 554 pins, while Michael Saxton finished 147th with a two-game total of 339 pins.

Midland returns to action on February 1–2, traveling to Topeka, Kansas, for the NAIA Regionals.
