Sandquist Earns Academic All-America Honors

AUSTIN, Texas – The 2021-22 Academic All-America Men's Basketball teams were announced today by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Midland University's Bo Sandquist was named to the NAIA Second Team following a great career on and off the court.

Sandquist, a senior from Johnston, Iowa, will earn degrees in Biology and Psychology as well as a minor in minor in Chemistry this spring. On the court this year, he averaged 16.2 points and 6.2 rebounds.

For his collegiate career, Sandquist scored 1,471 points and ranks 13th all-time in program history. He is the all-time leader in career three-pointers made (323) and shares the single-game record for made threes with nine.

Sandquist is the first men's basketball player to receive Academic All-America recognition and is the 24th all-time Warrior to earn the prestigious honor.

The NAIA Academic All-America program is being financially supported by the NAIA national governance structure to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2021-22 NAIA Academic All-America program.
