Warriors Wrap Up Home Schedule with Upset Win

FREMONT, Neb. – Midland University closed out its 2026 home schedule with a 12-0 win over Baker University on Saturday afternoon at Heedum Field. With the victory, Midland split the season series with Baker after dropping the first meeting, a nonconference contest in Baldwin City, Kansas. The win also moved the Warriors into second place in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference standings.

Emily Ferron hauled in a nine-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter, and Olivia Dominguez-Millsop added a 38-yard touchdown reception in the third to account for all of Midland's scoring.

Midland ran 44 plays for 179 yards of total offense and went 22-of-36 passing for 180 yards. The Warriors rushed eight times for minus-1 yard. Baker totaled 244 yards on 58 plays, completing 10-of-31 passes for 98 yards while rushing 27 times for 146 yards.

Individually, Lotta Wulff finished 22-of-36 passing for 180 yards with two touchdowns. Holiness Hodges rushed three times for 10 yards and added eight receptions for 56 yards. Dominguez-Millsop totaled two catches for 46 yards and a touchdown, while Ferron recorded one reception for a nine-yard score. For Baker, Tara Llorente completed 8-of-25 passes for 87 yards with three interceptions and rushed 16 times for 67 yards. Alana Romey added two receptions for 23 yards.

Defensively, Melanie Archuleta led Midland with 10.5 tackles, one sack, and one interception, while Dominguez-Millsop added two tackles and two interceptions. Daniela Canals paced Baker with eight flag pulls.

Midland (8-5, 7-2 KCAC) returns to action Wednesday, April 8, traveling to Winfield, Kansas, to face Southwestern (6-4, 5-4 KCAC). Kickoff at Richard L. Jantz Stadium is set for 6 p.m.
