Warriors Cap Off Season at NAIA Flag Football Finals

RIVERSIDE, Mo. – Midland University concluded its 2025 season at the NAIA Flag Football Finals, an invitational postseason tournament held this week at the KC Current Practice Facility in Riverside, Missouri. The Warriors finished with a 1-3 mark at the event, ending the year with a 9-10 overall record under second-year head coach James Kerwin.

Pool play began on Monday with a tough draw against Thomas University. The Warriors struggled to find their footing, falling 41-7 to the Night Hawks. Tuesday's matchup against Kansas Wesleyan University saw Midland take a halftime lead, but the Coyotes rallied late to edge the Warriors, 26-21, in a closely contested game between conference rivals.

Midland bounced back on Wednesday morning in the first round of the NAIA B Playoff Bracket, shutting out Cottey College 42-0 in a dominant performance. The Warriors' season came to an end later in the day, however, with a 27-20 loss to Milligan University. The game went down to the wire, capping off a postseason filled with competitive battles.
