Hodge Earns GPAC Special Teams Weekly Award

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) has announced this week's football players of the week for games played the week of September 2-8, 2024. Midland University's Zach Hodge was named the GPAC Special Teams Player of the Week while Drew Sellon of Morningside University and Carlos Lopez earned offensive and defensive honors.

Hodge, a senior from Omaha, Nebraska, had a busy afternoon with five punts during the Warriors' 38-20 loss to No. 13-ranked Dordt. He averaged 36.0 yards per punt with a pair of kicks inside the 20-yard line. His second punt of the day was downed at the Dordt one-yard line. Of his 8 punts this season, 4 have pinned opponents inside the 20-yard line with no touchbacks. Midland will host No. 14-ranked Morningside on Saturday, September 14.  Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. at Heedum Field in Fremont, Nebraska.
