Quinonez Earns GPAC Specialist of the Week Honors

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) announced this week's football players of the week for games played the week of August 28-September 3, 2023. Midland University's Jared Quinonez was named the GPAC Special Teams Player of the Week while Konner McQuillan of Northwestern College and Lucas Huttinga of Dordt University were honored on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball.

Quinonez, a senior from Tijuana, Mexico, had five PATs along with a 25-yard field goal as Midland defeated Jamestown in its home and conference opener. The veteran kicker moved into first place all-time on the Midland record board for PATS in a career (107). He now holds all three major placekicking records along with points (197) and field goals made (30). The Warriors host Briar Cliff on September 9, in Fremont, Nebraska. The kick off is set for 1:00 p.m. at Heedum Field.
