Midland University announces 2016 football schedule

FREMONT, Neb. – Midland University has officially released its football schedule for the 2016 season. The Warriors will play six home games during head coach Jeff Jamrog's inaugural season on the sideline at Heedum Field. Spring practices are currently underway on campus as the Warriors prepare for the upcoming season.

The Warriors will open the 2016 campaign with a pair of non-conference games at Heedum Field. Midland will host Olivet Nazarene University on August 27th before welcoming Bethel College to Fremont the following week. The September 3rd contest versus Bethel is part of the KCAC/GPAC Challenge which is entering its second season.

Midland will then wrap up its non-conference slate with a game at North Park University in Chicago, Illinois on September 10th.

The final eight weeks of the season beginning on September 17th at Briar Cliff University will be conference games on the gridiron. The 2016 Homecoming Game will be Midland's first home GPAC contest on September 24th. Kickoff is slated for 5 p.m. as Midland welcomes back former Warrior alumni with a weekend full of events.

On October 8th the Warriors will travel to Hastings College with plans of bringing home the Watchorn/McLaughlin Trophy, and on November 12th the seniors will be honored as Midland hosts Dakota Wesleyan University.
