McIntire Named Midland Esports Head Coach

FREMONT, Neb. – Midland University has announced the hiring of Adrienne McIntire as the school's new esports head coach. She joined the Warriors this summer after spending the past three years at Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri.

While at Stephens, Coach McIntire grew the Stars' esports program from six players under one title to more than 25 players with two titles. In addition to recruiting and growing the program, she also managed the Esports Live & Learn Community residents and facilities while creating education and programming for students.

Originally from Saint Peters, Missouri, Coach McIntire previously served as head coach of UMass Legion B (2019-20), assistant coach for Plus Mafia and Honey Badgers (2019-20), and was an assistant for Kent State Esports (2018-19).

"Adrienne will be a great addition to our athletic team and to the campus community," said Courtney Thomsen, Midland Director of Athletics. "She comes in with a wealth of knowledge and her experience in recruiting and coaching will help take our program to the next level. We are excited to see the progress of Midland Esports under Coach McIntire's leadership."
