FREMONT, Neb. – Midland University hosted the Midland Invitational featuring seven teams — Hastings College, York University, College of Saint Mary, Briar Cliff University, Viterbo University and Concordia University — for two rounds of competition Saturday. The Warriors swept the meet with first-place finishes in both rounds.

In the first round of competition, the Warriors earned top marks with a 95.17, winning by 7.38 points over the field.

In the second round, the Warriors improved their score by 0.54 points, posting a 95.71 to secure another first-place finish.

"It has been an intense regular season, and as always, I am so proud of the routines the team brought to the floor today," the coach said. "They really take in every note and critique the judges give us with focus and determination to make each round a little stronger than the last. We are excited to have a weekend off to really build on our routine and prepare for the conference championship."

Midland will now turn its attention to the GPAC Championship in Orange City, Iowa, on Friday, March 6.
