Warriors Post Season High, Finish Third at Grand View Invitational

DES MOINES, Iowa — Midland University traveled to Des Moines to compete in the Grand View Invite on Sunday, facing nine teams in two rounds of competition.

In the first round, Midland earned a 95.96 to finish third overall. Saint Ambrose placed second with a 97.46, while host Grand View University took first with a 97.98.

In the second round, the Warriors improved their score by 1.04 points for an overall score of 97, again finishing third. Grand View placed second with a 98.33, and Saint Ambrose moved into first with a 98.42.

"This team is incredibly driven and dedicated. The past two weekends have been a great start to our competitive season, and they have brought some amazing performances to the floor. We are proud of what we have accomplished thus far, and we are excited to be representing Midland at home this coming Saturday!" commented head coach Erin Sibbald. 

Midland will host the Midland Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 21. The event is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. inside the Wikert Event Center.
