Warriors Dazzle Judges, Earn First Place at Northwestern Invite with 95.75
ORANGE CITY, Iowa — Midland University traveled to Orange City to compete in the Northwestern Invite on Saturday night, facing 10 teams, eight of which were Great Plains Athletic Conference schools.
The Warriors took the mat for the second time this season, making a few changes to their routine from last week. They earned top marks from the judges' panel with a season-high score of 95.75. Midland finished 6.17 points ahead of the competition. Viterbo placed second with a score of 89.58, followed by Morningside in third at 88.8.
"I am so proud of the performance that the team brought to the floor tonight," head coach Erin Sibbald said. "They went into the practice week positive and excited to take on changes to improve their score from last weekend. They're an incredibly motivated and fun group, and I am really excited to see where this season takes them."
Midland will have a quick turnaround as it travels to Des Moines to compete in the Grand View Invite on Sunday, Feb. 15.
