Warriors Repeat as GPAC Champions, Punch Ticket to Nationals

SEWARD, Neb. – Midland University kicked off its postseason on Friday, competing in the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Competitive Dance Championship/NAIA Northwest Qualifier. The Warriors joined teams from across the conference, all vying for the league title and an automatic bid to the NAIA National Championship.

Midland made a strong entrance into the competition, earning a 90.83 in the preliminaries and setting the standard for the first round of competition. The Warriors elevated their performance in the finals, improving their score by 1.44 points to secure a 92.27. With the final score calculated as 25% from the prelims and 75% from the finals, Midland achieved an overall score of 91.91—clinching both the GPAC championship and the NAIA Northwest Qualifier title for the second consecutive year.

Midland will now prepare for its ninth trip to the NAIA Competitive Dance National Championship, set for March 28-29 in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The full 12-team field will be announced by the NAIA national office
