Midland Shines with Pair of First-Place Finishes

FREMONT, Neb. — Midland University hosted the Midland Invitational on Saturday, welcoming five teams: York University, Hastings College, Concordia University and Doane University. The Warriors swept the competition with two first-place finishes, marking their highest placement of the season.

In round one, Midland earned high marks from the judges' panel with a score of 87.57 to claim first place.

In round two, Midland posted a score of 85.83 to secure another first-place finish and complete the sweep.

"This team makes me beyond proud. In the last two weeks, we have added two new athletes to our floor. To do that in the middle of our season and still show so much growth from competition to competition is amazing. They are really starting to feel confident in their skills and are able to go out there and have fun while showcasing them. I can't wait to add a few more upgrades. I feel we're in a really good place going into these next two weeks leading up to the conference."

Midland will now turn its attention to the GPAC Championship in Orange City, Iowa, on Friday, March 6.
