Warriors Earn Runner-Up at GPAC Championship

SEWARD, Neb. – Midland University traveled to Seward, Nebraska, to compete in the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Competitive Cheer Championship. After two rounds of performances, the Warriors finished as runners-up behind defending champion, Northwestern College.

Midland started strong, earning a high score of 88.47 in the preliminaries. Despite facing challenges in the finals, the Warriors posted a solid score of 87.22. With the final score calculated as 25% from the preliminaries and 75% from the finals, Midland finished with a commendable overall score of 87.54.

Northwestern, which trailed after the preliminary round with a score of 86.05, improved by 4.43 points in the finals to secure a final-round score of 90.48 and an overall score of 89.37, edging past the Warriors. Midland proudly claimed the runner-up title for the second consecutive year.

The Warriors will now await the release of the at-large bids for the 2025 NAIA National Championship, as they look to make their seventh trip to the event since 2018. The NAIA national office is expected to announce the complete list soon.
