Warriors Fall to Division I South Dakota State

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Midland University traveled to Brookings, South Dakota, to face NCAA Division I South Dakota State University in a nonconference matchup Tuesday evening. The Warriors fell, 13-3, in seven innings.

South Dakota State added two more runs in the second inning behind a leadoff double and two singles, extending the lead to 3-0.

A throwing error on the play allowed Sorensen to score, cutting the deficit to 4-3.

South Dakota State responded with four runs in the bottom of the sixth to stretch the lead to 8-3, then added five more in the seventh to secure the run-rule victory.
