Warriors Edged by Jamestown in MCH Opening Round
ALBERT LEA, Minn. — No. 18 Midland University traveled to Albert Lea, Minnesota, to face No. 7 Jamestown University in the opening round of the Men's Midwest College Hockey Tournament.
Jamestown struck first with a goal at the 6:51 mark of the first period to take a 1-0 lead.
Midland responded early in the second period when Lasse Richert scored an unassisted goal at the 8:43 mark to tie the game at 1-1. Jamestown answered less than two minutes later, finding the back of the net at the 10:13 mark to regain the lead, 2-1, heading into the second intermission.
Jamestown held the Warriors scoreless in the third period, securing a 2-1 victory.
Midland (6-24-1) now awaits its postseason fate for the ACHA Men's Division I Tournament.
