Breczko to Represent Czech Republic at World University Games
SLANY, Czechia – Head coach Jaroslav Liška and the Czech University committee have announced the men's hockey roster for the Turin 2025 World University Games. Milan Breczko of Midland University has been named to the team, joining 22 other players from various levels of hockey.
"We are extremely happy and proud of Milan's nomination to represent his country at the University Games," said Midland head coach Jan Dam. "Every time a player gets to represent their country, it's more than just a game or a tournament. You're not playing for yourself or the team; you're playing for the whole country.
"This is also a testament to the whole team and the culture our players have created. I want to give them recognition because the team's efforts lead to individual accomplishments. We all wish Milan the best of luck, and we're very excited to watch him compete and cheer him on."
Ten teams will compete in men's hockey at the Torino 2025 World University Games. In addition to the Czech Republic, the countries represented include Canada, Japan, Kazakhstan, Poland, Slovakia, South Korea, Sweden, Ukraine, and the United States. Games will be played in Torre Pellice, Pinerolo, and Torino's PalaTazzoli, which will also host the semifinals and the medal games. Competition begins on January 13, 2025.
