Bio

Mackenzie Scheef-Coufal, 14, was a standout in Volleyball at Midland from 2010-13. A Middle Blocker and three-time Team Captain for the Warriors, Mackenzie earned NAIA and AVCA Second Team All-America honors in 2013, AVCA All-Region honors in 2013, and GPAC First Team All-Conference honors in 2013. She earned GPAC Second Team All-Conference honors in 2012. She currently ranks 3rd all-time at Midland for Kills in a season (466) and 6th all-time at Midland for Attack Percentage in a season (.316). For her career, she ranks 5th overall for Attack Percentage (280), 6th overall for Kills (1,193), and 8th overall for Block Assists (260).

During her career, Mackenzie helped lead Midland to a 92-46 overall record and a 39-25 GPAC record. At the conclusion of her senior season in 2013, Midland recorded a 37-5 overall record, including a 23-match win streak to start the season, and a 13-3 GPAC record. Midland advanced to the quarterfinals of the NAlA National Championship Tournament and ended the season ranked #7 in the NAIA's Postseason Poll. Mackenzie earned the Bracker Award in 2014, presented annually to the outstanding female athlete at Midland. Mackenzie earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2014, with a major in Marketing. She is currently the Lead Website Designer and Social Media Creator for Heritage Vet Partners in West Point, NE. Mackenzie and her husband, Derek, along with their three children, currently live in Wisner, NE. Mackenzie Scheef-Coufal is inducted into the Warrior Athletic Hall of Fame for her outstanding athletic accomplishments.
