Warriors Make History With Spirit Rally National Championship
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Midland University traveled to Daytona Beach, Florida, to compete in the National Cheerleaders Association Championships, making its first appearance in 10 years. The Warriors captured their first national title in the Spirit Rally Division.
Midland earned a score of 87.8 to secure a first-place finish and the Spirit Rally Division national championship, topping Missouri Baptist (85.0875) and Waldorf University (78.225).
"They just made Midland Cheer history, and they should be extremely proud," head coach Kayla Rojas said. "These athletes have worked so hard and spent hours preparing for this moment. This is what every cheerleader dreams of, and they got to live it out today. This group will always hold such a special place in my heart, and I appreciate them trusting Lexie and me with the vision to make this happen. Go Warriors!"
